Springfield’s rapid growth means many newer homes have **improperly installed chimneys**, often with **flexible flue pipes** that weren’t designed for South Carolina’s humidity. We’ve seen cases where DIY chimney kits led to **poor drafts, carbon monoxide leaks, or even chimney fires**—problems we catch with our **smoke puff tests and CO detectors**. Springfield’s older neighborhoods, like those near the historic district, also hide **brick chimneys with failing mortar**, which we repair with **high-temperature mortar** to match the original. Whether you’re in a modern subdivision or a century-old home, we ensure your chimney meets **current safety standards**—no guesswork, no excuses.
